Small business benefits package
What a Small Business Benefits Package Includes
Champion’s Pride Insurance Services puts a small business benefits package together one component at a time. We start from one employee list, request quotes for each component from those of our 29 carriers that write it, and show you the whole package side by side. We work with employers by phone or video, and in person in Missouri.

What a Complete Package Is Made Of
A benefits package is the set of group coverages an employer offers together. Employee benefits for a small business can be one plan or all of these, and each component does a different job for an employee.
This page covers the insurance lines we quote; ask your payroll provider or accountant about other benefits.
- Group health: Covers medical care for employees and, if you choose, their families.
- Dental: Coverage for checkups, cleanings and dental work.
- Vision: Coverage for eye exams, glasses and contacts.
- Group life: A benefit paid to an employee’s family if the employee dies.
- Disability: Short-term and long-term disability pay income when an employee cannot work because of an illness or injury.
- Accident: A benefit after a covered injury, which can help with unexpected out-of-pocket costs.
How we build it
How We Assemble a Package for Your Group
We quote every component from the same employee list, adding salaries where a line needs them, so the package reads as one picture instead of a pile of separate quotes.
Step 1
One employee list
You give us one list of your employees: names, dates of birth, zip codes and coverage tier, plus salaries if you want disability or salary-based life quoted. Nothing medical is asked.
Step 2
Component by component
For each component you want, we request quotes from those of our 29 carriers that write it for your group.
Step 3
One side-by-side
We lay the package out in one comparison, so you can see health, dental, vision, life, disability and accident next to each other.
Step 4
The paperwork
When you choose, we handle the paperwork for each component.
The side-by-side
What You See When the Package Is Together
Once quotes are in, we put them in one comparison. Here is what it shows.
- The premium for each component, based on your employee list
- What the business would contribute and what employees would pay
- For health, the deductible, the network and the copays
- For the other components, the benefit each one provides
Seeing the components together makes the differences visible. A premium for one line means more when the other lines sit next to it, and you can decide what the business wants to offer.
Your choices
What the Employer Decides
A package is built from your decisions. We bring the options and you choose. If you own an LLC or S corp, see health insurance for LLC and S corp owners.
- Which components to offer: health alone, or health with dental, vision, life, disability and accident
- How much of the premium the business pays for each component, which is the employer contribution
- Plan design, such as the deductible, the network and the copays
- Whether a component is paid by the employer or by the employee
Some components can be paid by the employer, and others can be offered on a voluntary basis, where employees choose to enroll and pay. We show the structures that the carriers offer for your group.
Prices depend on your group, so they appear in your quotes, not on this page.
At renewal
Adding a Component at Renewal
If you already have a group health plan, your renewal is a good point to look at the rest of the package. We can quote dental, vision, life, disability or accident from your employee list, with salaries where a line needs them, alongside the health renewal and show them next to your health options. Ask us what each carrier needs to add a line. Our group health insurance renewal guide shows the steps.
One team
One Team Quoting Every Component
The same CPIS team quotes every component, and it also handles group health insurance for small businesses. Meet the team to see who you would work with.
Ready when you are
What Happens When You Call
Call between 8 AM and 8 PM, Monday through Friday, and a CPIS benefits specialist will pick up. Say which components you are weighing and how large your team is, and the specialist will explain what we need to begin quoting.
